In the United States, about 97.000 children have been tested positive for the coronavirus in the last 2 weeks, and around 600 children (from infants to teenagers) have had inflammatory syndrome also linked to COVID-19 in the past 4 months, which required for most of them to be sent to Intensive Care Units due to multi-organ complications, and two-thirds of them had no underlying conditions.

These numbers alone should be enough to destroy the myth that children and young people have immunity to the disease, because not only are they not immune, but this may also serve as a driving force to boost the spread of the virus in communities.

If we protect our youngest, we are indirectly protecting our elderly.
