Sovereign Order of Cyprus awards for high-ranking Slovak leaders
 

On the 8th of December 2017, guests attended a solemn event in Gabcíkovo (Slovakia) at the Headquarters of FEMERAID International – Slovak Unit (Komplexná Centrálna Záchranná Služba – KCZS – disaster relief unit), the humanitarian organisation of the Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta, Federation of the Autonomous Priories (KMFAP), where – in the presence of the staff and of numerous high-ranking executives, ministers and high officers – JUDr. Robert Kaliňák, Slovakian Interior Minister presented a new well-equipped fire truck to our Unit on behalf of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

On this occasion – upon proposal of General Sir Ján Culka, commander of the unit – H.G. Prof. George Popper, Executive Grand Chancellor of the Sovereign Order of Cyprus – Knights of Sword and Silence and Sir Alexander Milesz, European Grand Chancellor of the Sovereign Order of Cyprus handed over honours and decorations to the following high-ranking personalities:

  • JUDr. Robert Kaliňák – Slovak Minister of the Interior
    Gold Star – Grand Officer of Sword and Silence
  • Mr. Vendelin Horváth – Secretary General of the Slovakian Voluntary Fire Protection Unit
    Grand Officer of Sword and Silence
  • Sir Ján Culka, Knight of Cyprus – advancement of grade – Chairman of the Board of KCZS
    Grand Officer of Sword and Silence

   

Then the highest awards of the Order of Security (OoS) were given to the following personalities:

GRAND CROSS KNIGHT OF SECURITY

  • Ing. Béla Bugár – Deputy and vice-chairman of the National Council of the Slovak Republic and leader of the parliamentary political party “Most-Híd” (Bridge)

GOLD STAR OF SECURITY WITH DIAMONDS

  • JUDr. Robert Kaliňák
  • Gen. JUDr. Alexander Nejedlý – President of the Fire and Rescue Corps
  • Gen. PaedDr. Tibor Gašpar – President of the Police Corps
  • Mgr. Ján Culka

  

These distinguished individuals have become members of this professional association.

 

After the formalities, the ceremony was closed by a reception and gala dinner with a friendly atmosphere.
