The Rectory of the Pro Deo State University of KMFAP informs that, as part of the Postgraduate Teaching Program of its Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, between October 20 and 23rd 2010 was held the International Practical Seminar in Microsurgery of Vessels and Nerves ( see photo above ).

This Seminar took place at the Pius Branzeu Center for Laparoscopic Surgery and Microsurgery of the Victor Babes University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timisoara, Romania.

Under the direction of Prof. Doctor Sir Mihai Ionac, PhD, MD, KCM, this course had two important invited experts: Prof. Dr. Robert Hierner from the University of Essen, Germany, and Dr. Marco Pignatti from the University of Modena, Italy, who, together with the Romanian Faculty members, shared their vast experience and knowledge with the trainees - 15 young surgeons ( see photos below ) from Great Britain, Italy, Poland, Romania and Turkey . 

Prof Doctor Sir Mihai Ionac, besides being the Director of the above mentioned Pius Branzeu Center for Laparoscopic Surgery and Microsurgery of the Victor Babes University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timisoara, is also the Director of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of our Pro Deo State University and Minister of Hospitaller Affairs of the Government of the Federation of Autonomous Priories of the Sovereign Order of St. John of Jerusalem - Knights of Malta ( KMFAP ) .

This International Practical Seminar in Microsurgery of Vessels and Nerves was accredited by the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery ( E.B.O.P.R.A.S. ) and by the European Microsurgical Research Association ( E.M.R.A. ).

These Seminars take place 2 times per year.
